Terms of service.
These terms apply to all projects carried out by Meraung Studio. By submitting a brief via this site or email info@meraung.com, you agree to the following.

1. Scope of Work & Agreement
Every project starts with an official scope in a Statement of Work (SOW) or written proposal. The SOW defines modules, features, deliverables, timeline and price. Anything outside the SOW is a change request and may involve extra cost and timeline. A SOW agreed via email or written agreement is considered a valid contract.
2. Payment, Deposit & Milestones
Standard deposit is 50% of project value to start work. The remaining 50% is due before handover or go-live. For Pro or high-value projects, payment can be split into milestones 40% (start) / 30% (mid) / 30% (done). Online payment via this website is currently in progress (Coming Soon). All invoices are sent first via info@meraung.com, with a payment link after scope and quote are confirmed. Quoted prices exclude third-party fees. Late payment beyond 14 days may pause work.
3. Timeline & Availability
Time estimates in the quote are realistic estimates based on the given scope. Delays caused by the client (no feedback, incomplete content, slow account access) are not counted in the original timeline. We will flag early if there's a risk of delay on our side.
4. Revisions & Scope Changes
Each package comes with a clear number of revisions (Basic: 1, Premium: 3, Pro: unlimited within original scope). A revision means a tweak to already-agreed design or function — not a new feature. New features are classified as change requests and quoted separately.
5. Ownership & Intellectual Property
After full payment, the client owns full rights to the source code, design assets and brand assets produced specifically for the project. We retain the right to use generic components, internal libraries and general knowledge for other projects, and to display projects in our portfolio (with client names kept confidential) unless requested otherwise in writing.
6. Confidentiality & Client Data
We keep confidential all operational data, financial documents, credentials and sensitive information shared by the client. Real client names are not disclosed publicly on this site without written consent. All production database, admin panel and credential access handed over will be restored or fully deleted on our side after handover, upon request.
7. Warranty & Post-Handover Support
We provide a bug-fix warranty on the original scope for 30 days (Premium) or 90 days (Pro) after go-live. Warranty does not cover new features, new integrations, or changes caused by third parties. After the warranty period, support can be extended via a monthly retainer quoted separately.
8. Third-Party Services
Projects often rely on third-party services: payment gateway, hosting, WhatsApp API, Apple App Store, Google Play, etc. We are not responsible for outages, policy changes, review rejections, or price increases on those third parties.
9. Cancellation & Termination
The client may cancel a project at any time with written notice. Payment for work completed up to the cancellation date is considered earned and non-refundable. Deposit is non-refundable once work begins. We may terminate the contract in case of serious breach, ongoing disruption, or payment late by more than 30 days.
10. Limitation of Liability
Our maximum liability for any project is limited to the amount paid by the client for that project. We are not liable for indirect losses, loss of profit or loss of data caused by third-party weaknesses.
11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
This agreement is governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute will first be resolved through mediation, and if necessary, referred to the courts in Kuala Lumpur or Putrajaya.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update the terms on this page from time to time. Changes will not apply to existing contracts without written consent from both parties.
